Stainless steel projects
Stainless steel has mechanical properties similar to carbon steel, with which it is suitable for making the same type of elements and constructions. The differentiating feature is its resistance to corrosion, which means that it does not require surface coatings to have good weather behavior. For interior or exterior elements in the absence of chlorides, the AISI304 alloy is usually used, while for exteriors in areas close to the sea and in more aggressive environments, AISI316 is used. The most common realizations in stainless steel are enclosures, carpentry, railings, fences, cladding, etc. At Pidemunt we also offer different surface finishes such as mirror polished, satin, frosted, sandblasted with a glass sphere, electropolished or surface placement chemical baths.
